Privacy Policy
SmartTools Hub tools run entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. We do not require accounts or show ads. The only data we receive is standard server logs and anonymized analytics — both described in full below.
1. Who We Are
SmartTools Hub is a free online tool platform available at toolshub.pro. We provide calculators, converters, text tools, image tools, and developer utilities — all completely free, with no account required. For data protection purposes, SmartTools Hub is the data controller for any personal data we process.
2. What Data We Collect
The table below gives a complete picture of every category of data we may receive when you use SmartTools Hub:

3. How Our Tools Handle Your Data
This is the most important section. Every tool on SmartTools Hub — calculators, converters, text tools, image tools, and developer utilities — processes your input locally in your browser using JavaScript and the browser's built-in APIs (such as the Canvas API for image processing).
When you enter text, upload an image, or paste code into any of our tools, that data is processed entirely within your browser's memory. It is never transmitted over the network to our servers. When you close or navigate away from the page, the data is discarded. We have no technical ability to access it.
Tools That Make External Requests
Three tools interact with external services:
- IP Lookup — The IP address you look up is sent to ipapi.co to retrieve geolocation data. We do not log the IP you look up or the results returned. ipapi.co's own privacy policy applies.
- QR Code Generator — Uses the open-source qrcodejs library from cdnjs.cloudflare.com. QR codes are generated entirely in your browser; no data is sent to any server.
- Currency Converter — Uses hardcoded reference rates. No external API call is made at any time.
4. Third-Party Services
We load resources from the following third parties. Each may process limited technical data (such as your IP address) as part of delivering their service:

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, remarketing pixels, or any data broker integrations. We do not share data with advertisers.
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use the absolute minimum number of cookies needed for the website to function. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any third-party marketing cookies.
Cookies We May Set
- Theme preference — Stores your display theme preference. Duration: 1 year. Category: Functional.
- Session state — Temporary cookies for basic site functionality. Duration: Session. Category: Strictly necessary.
Google Fonts and Cloudflare CDN may set their own cookies or use browser storage when delivering their services. We do not control these. You can block them via a browser extension (e.g. uBlock Origin) without affecting our tools.
Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using any of our tools — none of them require cookies to function.
6. Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand website usage in aggregate. Our analytics:
- Do not use Google Analytics or any Google tracking product
- Do not build individual user profiles or track sessions across visits
- Do not use cookies for analytics purposes
- Collect only: aggregated page views, country-level location (not city), browser type, and referrer domain
- Anonymize IP addresses immediately (last octet removed before storage)
7. Data Retention
- Server access logs — 30 days, then automatically deleted. Used only for security monitoring.
- Anonymized analytics — 13-month rolling window, then automatically deleted.
- Contact form messages — Up to 2 years, or deleted promptly on request to toolshubp@gmail.com.
- Tool inputs & outputs — Never retained. Processed in browser memory only.
8. Data Security
- HTTPS everywhere — All traffic is encrypted via TLS 1.2 or higher.
- No personal database — We do not maintain a database of user personal data tied to tool usage.
- Minimal server-side footprint — Tools run client-side, dramatically reducing the server attack surface.
- Access controls — Server infrastructure access is restricted to authorized personnel with strong authentication.
In the unlikely event of a security incident affecting personal data, we will notify affected individuals and relevant supervisory authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware, in accordance with GDPR Article 33.
9. Children's Privacy
SmartTools Hub is a general-purpose utility site for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). Our tools require no account registration or personal data submission.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal data to us (e.g. via our contact form), email toolshubp@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, GDPR gives you the following rights:

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)
- Legitimate interests (6(1)(f)) — Server logs and anonymized analytics for security and service improvement.
- Contract (6(1)(b)) — Responding to contact form messages.
- Consent (6(1)(a)) — Functional cookies, where applicable.
11. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Residents)
- Right to Know — Request disclosure of personal information collected in the past 12 months.
- Right to Delete — Request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to Correct — Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale — We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To submit a CCPA request, email toolshubp@gmail.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject. We respond within 45 days.
12. Changes to This Policy
When we update this policy we will: update the "Last updated" date above, increment the version number, and for material changes, post a notice on our homepage for at least 30 days. Continued use of SmartTools Hub after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
